Ricky Ciano: Overdose of Speedball ‘by former Rebels Bikie Boss Non -Murdering

Prosecutors have not been able to prove the death of a former bicycle gang chief due to a lethal injection of cocaine and heroin was murder.

A close friend of Ricky Ciano and his partner former Bikie of Rebels, Jamie Tozer, declared himself guilty of homicide on Wednesday after a court accepted that there was not enough evidence to prove that drugs were administered without consent.

Tozer had to face a trial for murder in the Supreme Court of Nueva Wales del Sur.

Ciano joined the rebels in 2001 when he was 20 years old and became president of the Liverpool chapter, in southwest Sydney.

He left the group in 2015 and several nearby followers, including Tozer, went with him.

The men, together with Tezer’s half -brother, Daniel Bushell, traveled to a property in Oberon, at NSW Central Tablalands, in February 2017 with a plan to manufacture drugs.

At some point while they were on the property, Ciano was injected with a drug cocktail that included cocaine and heroin, a mixture known as “Speedball”, and died shortly after, according to an agreed statement.

His body was found three days later in his BMW, which was parked on a nearby road.

Bushell administered Ciano the fatal shot after receiving the medications by Tozer, according to the documents.

Bushell was initially accused of murder, but was declared not guilty for a jury in 2023 and convicted of the minor charge of involuntary homicide, receiving a nine -year prison sentence.

Prosecutors presented evidence that they suggest that Ciano would not have consented to take drugs, including calling the “disgusting” heroin and “Junkie S ***”, according to his wife and sister.

Ciano was arrested by the police while heading to Oberon’s property, during which he returned a negative breath test and did not seem to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

It was also presented that during an intravenous therapy course in 2010 Ciano, which was very tattooed, seemed to be afraid of needles.

But the Court was also told that Ciano had become a regular user of opioid oxycodone before his death and hormones and growth steroids were previously injected.

In the weeks before his death, the former bikie increased his use of oxycodone tablets, which he had also taken the day of his death before injection.

It was also known that Ciano drank and used cocaine recreationally, and used the diazepam of prescription medications and the opioid tram.

“The family (from Ciano) did not know the extent to which the deceased was using opioid medications,” says the documents.

“The crown cannot establish beyond reasonable doubt and, therefore, does not affirm that the deceased did not consent to injection.”

Tozer must return to the courts for a sentence hearing on April 4.
