The lawyer Abhinav Chandrachud presents the case of YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia. All about the former CJI son

Youtuber Ranveer Allahbadia has approached the Supreme Court, seeking the relief of multiple signed against him for allegedly making obscene comments during a recent episode of India has latentOrganized by Comedian Samay Raina. The lawyer Abhinav Chandrachud presented the petition on behalf of Allahbadia, requesting an urgent hearing due to a summons issued by the Assam Police.

Abhinav Chandrachud, who represents Allahbadia, is an outstanding lawyer who practices in the Superior Court of Bombay. He is the son of the former president of the Supreme Court of India Dy Chandrachud and has multiple prestigious titles, including a doctor of Law Sciences (JSD) and a teacher of Law Science (JSM) of the Stanford Law Faculty, where it was a family from Franklin scholar. He also obtained a LLM of Harvard’s Law Faculty as Dana’s academic.

Chandrachud’s career includes a season as an associated lawyer in the Global Gibson law firm, Dunn & Crutcher. He is also the author of acclaimed books, including *Republic of Rhetoric: freedom of expression and the constitution of India *and *Supremes of Supreme: Conversations with Judges of the Supreme Court of India 1980-1989 *. His opinion articles have appeared in several prominent newspapers.

In his farewell speech, former CJI Dy Chandrachud shared a story about Abhinav and his brother Chintan, both lawyers. When he asked them to argue in the Supreme Court during their mandate, they refused, citing professional integrity concerns. “Dad, we will do it after you are claiming the office,” they told him. “Why should we bring a description of your name and ours practicing in SC when you are a judge?”

“I am really blessed to have children who have that ethos,” Chandrachud recalled.

A bank led by the president of the Supreme Court Sanjiv Khanna and Judge Sanjay Kumar recognized the urgency application, but rejected an immediate oral mention. CJI Khanna said the matter would be included for the audience within two or three days, pointing out that a date had already been assigned.

Legal charges against Allahbadia include section 79 of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) 2023, which penalizes acts that insult the modesty of a woman through words, gestures or other means. It also faces accusations of violating the privacy of a woman under related laws.
