The former S4C chief files a claim for personal injury against the channel

The former S4C executive director filed a claim for personal injuries against his former employer in the Superior Court.

It comes after Sian Doyle was fired from the Welsh Language Station financed with public funds in November 2023 After being accused of being “dictatorial” and “create a culture of fear.”

In a statement to the Newyddion S4C produced by the BBC, their lawyers said Mrs. Doyle had undergone a “truly extraordinary and inappropriate mistreatment period” that “has seriously damaged his health and well -being.”

S4C and former President Rhodri Williams have declined to comment.

It has now been revealed that in February he filed a claim for personal injuries against S4C and has until February 21 to provide details of his alleged injury, as well as the compensation he is claiming.

His lawyer, Paul Daniels, said they had no choice but to take measures due to the “prolonged” foul of S4C and Rhodri Williams to accept their mediation offer and unacceptable delays in responding to claim letters.

According to Mr. Daniels, the statements are due to negligence (breach of the duty of care due to our client), illegal harassment, lack of poor quality in public office, breach of privacy rights, breach of trust and infractions of protection of protection data.

He added: “No one should be treated in this way, be it a senior or junior employee, by an organization and a president who is legally obliged to act legally, fairly and in accordance with the principles of Nolan that govern the realization of a public office ”

In a written statement, her husband Rob Doyle said: “I am deeply saddened by the traumatic impact that S4C and the treatment of former president have had in Sian and my family.

“The anguish and emotional damage he has suffered is devastating and is affecting all aspects of his well -being.

“This continuous abuse has caused lasting damage and we are committed to obtaining full justice and responsibility according to the United Kingdom law and the principles of Nolan.”

S4C and former President Rhodri Williams declined to comment on the Superior Court’s claim.
