Woman sexually assaulted by a stranger on the bus during the peak time while the passenger forced to intervene

A woman was sexually assaulted by a stranger in a bus in the city center when the police launch urgent investigation.

The victim was attacked after boarding the Bolton Interchange bus station, in Greater ManchesterJanuary 22 around 7.15 am

He was in the 607 service when a man and another woman got on the second stop.

The man sat next to him before throwing his vile attack.

Greater Manchester police said the other woman witnessed horror and helped the victim to the bus.

The force is now looking for the woman who intervened during the assault for information.

Officers are also interested in talking to anyone who can help with their research.

A GMP spokesman said: “On Wednesday, January 22, around 7:15 am, a woman went up to bus 607 in #bolton Interchange. In the second stop, a man and another woman also climbed the bus.

“It is believed that the man sat next to the first woman before he sexually assaulted her.

“Fortunately, the second woman witnessed the incident and intervened, before helping the victim out of the bus.

“The police are now asking the woman to help the victim and any other person who has witnessed the incident to present, any information she has can help with the progression of the investigation.

“If you have any information, or if you are the woman who kindly helped contact us in 101 by citing record 570 of 01/22/25”.
