Makinde charges Ibadan Poly to explore the internal solution for power – News – The Guardian Nigeria News – Nigeria and World News

Governor Seyi Makinde, from the state of Oyo, has charged the management of the Polytechnic, Ibadan, to explore and implement internal energy generation solutions to reduce dependence on external energy sources on the campus.

Makinde, who was represented by the Commissioner of Education, Science and Technology, Prof. Salihu Adelabu, made the call at the 39th Call Ceremony and Prize for Diplomas, Certificates and Awards of the Institution.

The governor said that the generation of internal energy would guarantee a reliable and sustainable energy supply that improves the general efficiency of the institution.

He explained that his administration would soon constitute a Governing Council for the Institution.

The governor also promised to intervene in the rehabilitation of the main roads inside the campus to allow easy vehicular movements on the campus.

He praised the management of the institution for the operation without problems of academic activities that lack strike and interruption.

The governor, while congratulating the graduates of the institution, admonished them to be good ambassadors of the institution and keep the flag of the institution flying every time they are.

“I would like to advise the graduates to apply the knowledge acquired here to become useful citizens of Nigeria, good ambassadors of the state of Oyo, and create jobs for yourself instead of looking for white collar work that are becoming competitively difficult to ensure ” saying.

“Graduation is not the end, it is the beginning. He warns you to reach the stars regardless of the weather, always bring your sun. Remember that fireworks have begun, each of you is an enlightened combination, go to the world and turn it on.

“Finally, my gratitude goes to all the parents who had worked and worked on the bad and thin to ensure that they are given a good education. I sincerely thank you for your support and tireless contributions to the academic achievements of graduates.

Speaking on behalf of the Commissioner of Education, Science and Technology, Prof. Salihu Adelabu, Secretary/Inspector General of Education of Permanent, Zone 2, Mrs. Oyeyemi Iyabo, appreciates the visitor to the institution for their help for administration without problems of the institution.

He urged all the academic and non -academic staff of the Ibadan Polytechnic, to correspond to the good gesture of the governor dedicating his works.

Previously, the interim rector of the institution, Dr. Taiwo Laisi, explained that the institution is graduating 3,650 students in five faculties.

He hinted that his administration has secured the rapid payment of wages, workers’ wages and pension assignments.

He said his administration adhered to the academic calendar without interruption.

He argued that there is a peaceful interaction between students, staff, unions and neighboring communities.

He appreciated Governor Makinde for entrusting the responsibility of serving the institution as an interim rector, adding that he will continue to raise the institution.
