Seriously injured driver in a single car in Wellesley

A person was seriously injured after a night accident in Wellesley.

According to Wellesley police, around 12:30 am officers were called to the scene of a single car accident on Route 9 East Near School Street.

According to the officials, the driver was transferred to Mass General by Boston Medflight. The scope of driver’s injuries is unknown at this time.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
