Michigan’s climate this week: dangerous chills, up to half a snowfoot for lake effects areas

We start our week with truly Arctic air, a fast wind and dangerous chills. Let’s see if it is heated at the end of the week. We also have some snow areas to deal with.

First, we cover the snow. There are no generalized winter storms in line to reach all Michigan this work week. The great snowstorm this week will actually follow 400 miles south of Michigan on Wednesday.

We have a considerable event of snow of Lake effect that goes today, tonight and Tuesday. Here is a radar prognosis until Tuesday. You have the idea that anywhere on the west of low Michigan will have occasional snow bursts. The Eastern Peninsula will have very strong snow and is currently under a winter storm warning for a new snow foot today until Tuesday.

Here is a good look at the snowfall that is expected until Tuesday night when the snow of the Lake-Effect ends. From Kalkaska to Manistee County on the coast west of Grand Rapid to South Haven could have a total of six inches of snow today until Tuesday night. The traverse City area and the Grand Rapids area must have two or four inches of snow within that period. The rest of us in the Low Michigan will have occasional snow shoots that only ascend to an inch or two.

The Arctic Air today until Wednesday is the true history of the weather this week. On Tuesday morning it will be the most dangerous for frost sting with wind chills between 15 degrees below zero and 25 degrees below zero. Children should not wait outside the school bus on Tuesday morning or Wednesday morning.

The second half of the work week is much quieter in the weather and warms very slowly from the freezing of the Arctic. It will not be warm, and we will probably not decipher the freezing brand in most of the cities of Michigan until this time of next week.

Here are the high temperatures from Thursday to Saturday, showing a slow warming. Finally we warm up at 20 years on Friday and Saturday afternoon.

The next storm system looks quite weak and fast with just a few hours of snow showers on Saturday.

Be careful with the Lake effects areas until Wednesday morning. Those areas will be treacherous. Otherwise, it is only a type of package here in Michigan, with the waiting game to see a change to the spring climate.
