JAMAL MUSIALA DE BAYERN MUNICH LOOKS FOR THE 2024 Eurocup Repeat against Celtic

Jamal Musiala de Bayern Munich wants to submit Celtic to a result similar to the one that Scotland received when he helped inspire Germany to his victory in the 2024 Eurocup on the national team last June.

Musiala, 21, produced an performance of the game and scored the second goal when the hosts separated 5-1 in Munich, where Bayern will receive Celtic in the second leg of her draw at the League play-off of champions tomorrow.

“I had a lot of fun,” Musiala said. “It was definitely one of my favorite games in my career so far.

“We wanted to start the tournament strongly and we knew what we had to bring.

“After a while he became fun and got into a good rhythm. Hopefully it is more of the same against Celtic.

“It will not be an easy, sure game. We experience last week in Glasgow and we know what will happen.

“We have to be fresh and mentally prepared. We have to give 100%, start strongly and, hopefully, win.”

Musiala played with Nicholas Kuhn of Celtic in the Bayern B team when he was young and admits that it could be the greatest threat to the hosts that have a 2-1 advantage in the draw after the first leg last week in Glasgow.

“He played very well against us,” he added.

“I was 16 or 17 when I played with him, he was a great character then. We always talked together and we had games. I am happy to see how well it is.”

The Allianz Arena del Bayern will be the host of the final of the Champions League this year, but Musiala says that he and the rest of the team are not putting more pressure because of that.

“Everyone wants to reach the final, but we can’t look forward so far.”
