Jude Bellingham: Real Madrid’s red card Red Card led to the ‘repulsive’ abuse of the referee

The Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) has condemned the “repulsive” abuse suffered by referee José Munuera Montero since his decision to send the Real Madrid midfielder Jude Bellingham.

Montero showed a direct red card by Montero during the 1-1 draw on Saturday against Osasuna for using missing language.

Since then, Montero has received abuse on social networks, while his family has also been attacked.

“Professional referees are absolutely rejected by the attacks and threats that our colleague Jose Luis Munuera Montero is receiving through social networks,” RFEF said in a statement.

“These attacks add to hatred and verbal violence through which we have to carry out our professional work every weekend, and that in the base categories becomes, even more unfortunately, physical violence in many cases” .

The former Birmingham City midfielder, Bellingham, said his language was misunderstood by referee Montero.

“He believed I said (something insulting) for him,” Bellingham said.

“There was no intention to insult him, there was no insult, and for that reason I think you can see that there was a misunderstanding.”

Bellingham now faces a long prohibition, at a time when Real Madrid has allowed a seven -point advantage to slide at the top of the league table.

Carlo Ancelotti’s team has no profits in their last three league games and are now leveling with points with the rivals Barcelona, but they are second because they have a lower goals difference.
