Generalized snow followed by dangerous cold

Nashville, Tennessee (WSMV) – A meteorological day of the first alert is in force for today and Wednesday with accumulated snowfall that is expected in the center of the state, followed by Extreme Cold for Thursday and Friday.

First day of the alert climate – Tuesday and Wednesday

Much today will remain dry through the state with temperatures that begin in the 20s and will only run in the 30s this afternoon. We will have much more cloud coverage to your afternoon and maybe some bursts, but nothing that accumulates from the beginning.

The first snow showers will arrive tonight at this one between 6 pm at 10 pm there can be a couple of slippery places in the high steps and bridges tonight where the accumulation will fall first.

A generalized snowfall is expected during the night and until Wednesday morning with more travel impacts that the morning trip is expected on Wednesday. 1-2 ″ de snow was expected south of the I-40, while the areas throughout the I-40 can wait between 2-4 ″ de snow.

First day of the alert climate – Thursday and Friday

Bitter Cold is expected to return to Midstate for the second half of this week with adolescence temperatures and a single digit on Thursday morning and only extended in the 20s on Thursday afternoon. The clouds will be difficult to break on Thursday, but sometimes we should be able to sneak in the sun.

The minimums on Thursday night and until Friday morning will fall into individual digits in most Middle Tennessee and southern Kentucky. Temperatures will become close to that freezing brand on Friday afternoon under a partially cloudy sky.

This weekend

The warmest climate will return on Saturdays and Sundays with return maximums about 40 on Saturday and until entering 40 on Sunday. From now on, the weekend looks calm with a mixture of clouds and sun during both days.
