Man seriously injured in Rhoherham aggravated robbery

A 59 -year -old man was seriously injured in an aggravated robbery in Rotherham.

South Yorkshire police said the officers were called to reports of a robbery and assault on Mason Avenue, Swallownest, around 7:20 p.m. GMT on Saturday.

Three men got into a property before fleeing, the force said. The man was taken to the hospital. Police said it was not believed that their wounds were potentially mortal.

Any person with information, or who saw something suspicious in the area, is urged to contact the police.
