Girl, 16, hurts in Blackpool Crash between Auto and E-Scoter

A 16-year-old girl was seriously injured in an accident between a car and an e-Scooter, police said.

He was traveling with another person in the e-Scooter when they were involved in a collision with a white hatchback in Whitgate Drive, Blackpool, after midnight on Sunday, said Lancashire police.

The teenager suffered serious head injuries and was taken to the hospital.

The car driver fled the scene and the officers are asking for information about his whereabouts.

A 17 -year -old boy was arrested on the scene and is currently in custody.

It is illegal that scooters are used on roads and public spaces, such as parks, pavements and shopping centers.
