Officials arrest the member of the tribe of San Carlos Apache in relation to the start of Watch Fire

Federal prosecutors say that a member of the tribe of San Carlos Apache has been arrested in relation to a devastating forest fire in tribal lands last summer.

Keanu Rudy Dude, twenty -five, was accused by a federal grand jury and is now accused of fire caused by the Watch Fire, who burned in the Indian reserve of San Carlos Apache in July.

The fire destroyed 21 houses and evacuated 400 families. The authorities said he damaged the electric lines, causing a temporary blackout, and took a week to completely contain. A state of emergency was declared to help the members of the tribe. The forest fire burned more than 2,000 acres and is considered one of the worst of the tribe in three decades.

Doube is ready to make his initial appearance in court on Monday.
