The movement for the survival of the people of Ogoni (Mosop) has requested President Bola Tinubu on the alleged selective approach by the advisory team established by the National Security Advisor Office (NSA) to interact with all the facets of the Ogoni Society For possible oil resumption. .

The president of Mosop, Fegalo Nsuke, in a petition signed on Sunday in Abuja, said the team was avoiding the Ogoni Master Plan prescribed by the Association, which declared the operationalization of the Ogoni Development Authority (ODA).

Nsuke accused the NSA group, which mainly includes “people appointed policies”, to try to put aside a unanimous decision of its central committee on September 27, 2020, and the decision of the Congress of November 30, 2024, which, which He supported the ODA as the acceptable path to solve the problem before oil resumption.

He added that the team has never discussed development; Rather, “they want to manipulate people to achieve a predetermined objective,” saying that NSA’s oil resumption activists are politicians who are afraid to tell the truth and are sitting on both sides of the table to bring confusion to the process .

The president of Mosop, therefore, urged Mr. President to intervene in the situation immediately to prevent any conflict that may arise between the local people and the manipulative trends of the allies of the NSA group.

He added: “We want Tinubu to intervene and make sure that people’s trust does not erosion to the point where they become resistant. Therefore, the president’s intervention is necessary to prevent any possible crisis that can be triggered and ensure that the process is successful with the alignment of people.

“When people are oppressed, it is absolutely correct and natural for them to seek justice and resist such oppression. However, such resistance must be performed peacefully. Mr. President, as the father of the nation, deserves the truth at all times.

“However, they all have an interest in an oil company or another that plan to project oil when the time comes. But Ogoni people will definitely resist them because they have no good plans for people. ”

Nsuke frowned at the current NSA team approach, describing it as repressive and coercive.

He claimed that some members of the NSA team have issued threats against civil society activists, warning that such threats were not healthy for a society that has been the omen of human rights struggles.
