Kenner’s man declares himself guilty of federal office for child pornography, faces up to 20 years

New Orleans (WVUE) – A Kenner man declared himself guilty of a federal position for child pornography and faces up to 20 years in prison when he is sentenced in May, prosecutors said.

Noah Torres, 47, presented his statement of guilt on Thursday (February 20) before the American district judge Eldon Fallon, who will impose the sentence of Torres on May 22.

According to judicial documents, Torres was arrested by federal agents of national security investigations in his home in Kenner on July 24, 2023. After the execution of a federal search warrant, Torres admitted to having possessed 219 images and 340 videos “that They represent prebescent minors who participate in sexually explicit contact. “

Torres faces a maximum sentence of up to 20 years in a federal prison, a fine of up to $ 250,000 and a supervised release term that ranges between at least five years.

The case was presented as part of Project Safe Childhood, a national initiative to combat child sexual abuse and exploitation launched by the United States Department of Justice in 2006. The case of Torres was prosecuted by the United States assistant prosecutor, Brian Klebba.
