Lorain County teenager seriously injured in suspicion of accidental shots

Elyria, Ohio-a 15-year-old boy suffered a severe gunshot wound on Saturday afternoon in what the police believe it was an accidental shooting.

The police say that the officers were called to the residence in Melvyn Lane block at 3:37 pm the officers entered the residence and found the injured adolescent.

The child was taken to the Medical Center of the University Hospitals of Elyria and then transferred to the Babies & Children’s Babies & Children Hospital in Cleveland. Police have not published an update on their condition.

An investigation is ongoing, but the police say that the shooting was accidental. No other details were published.
