Harry Benjamin predicts that the 240 -point F1 driver is low “a little pressure” of his new teammate in 2025

There are some really exciting new associations on the network in 2025 with the Formula 1 Paddock completely mixed after a whirlwind in the driver market last year.

McLaren and Aston Martin were the only teams that stayed with their current match once The 20 F1 controllers were confirmed for 2025.

The other eight teams have chosen to go in different directions with their alignments, although some were forced to make those decisions.

For example, Mercedes lost Lewis Hamilton against Ferrari with Toto Wolff deciding to go with a driver at the complete end of the experience spectrum promoting Andrea Kimi Antonelli.

Haas could not keep Nico Hulkenberg After he decided to join Sauber and that pair of teams decided to go with a couple of completely new drivers by 2025.

One of the new most fascinating alignments on the network this season is in Williams.

After finishing ninth in the Builder Championship Last year, team director James promises assured the signing of Carlos Sainz After the Spanish was moved aside by Hamilton.

Williams has tried to make his 2025 car easier to driveAnd that could be fundamental for Sainz’s new teammate Alex Albon.

Albon, who has scored 240 points during his F1 race, has been the main driver in Williams since he signed with the team, seeing Nicholas Latifi, Logan Sargeant and Franco Colapinto.

But Harry Benjamin, speaking in the checkered flag podcast, believes that Sainz’s arrival will put the Thai driver under more pressure than he has felt since his days in Red Bull

Alex Albon predicted being low “a little pressure” by Carlos Sainz in Williams

Talking about next season and Williams’ opportunities, Benjamin said: “It is obviously a deal for Carlos Sainz, but I think that between him and Alex Albon, they have a good duo there.”

“I think there will be some pressure on Albon because we will see what is really done with someone like Sainz who has demonstrated again and again how fast it is in the car, but also the type of engineering mentality that he has too made.

“It is a strategist inside the car, in addition to driving it. And so, I think they could propel Williams forward.

“It will not be immediate, but I think they have good bones there to start progress in the coming years and there will also be some pressure on Albon to deal with that.”

James Vowles already excited by Carlos Sainz and Alex Albon Partnership

Williams has had difficult years in Formula 1, the races near the back of the network and currently in a 13 -year race without a victory.

However, Sainz and Albon are their strongest driver line from Valtteri Bottas and Felipe Massa and with the correct car, they should be challenging in the front of the center of the field.

Vowles loves what Sainz and Albon are doing behind the scene in WilliamsAnd that should have a positive impact on this year’s car and his new machine in 2026 when the regulations change.

The couple has a very similar driving style and is well known for their detailed comments that should boost the team forward.

Sainz and Albon will already look around 2026 when Vowles believes that Williams will be much closer to the front of what they are currently.

That exerts a lot of pressure on everyone in the factory to deliver after years of mediocrity, but the evolution of the team under the leadership of Vowles suggests that there is no reason to doubt that they will be a much more competitive force.
