Lokayukta Siddaramaiah Muda – Lokayukta Probe On Muda Scam ignores ED’s findings, closes the case against Prime Minister Siddaramaiah – Karnataka News

The Lokayukta research report on the scam of the Urban Development Authority of Mysore (muda) that involved Karnataka Prime Minister, Siddaramaiah, his wife and others, revealed crucial details about the investigation. The report, which is accessed exclusively India Today, indicated that the Lokayukta raised only 30 questions to Siddaramaiah before presenting a “B report” in the case, effectively closing the investigation against him.

In particular, Lokayukta’s investigation ignored the findings of the Execution Directorate (DE), which had widely investigated the case and highlighted the role of the key figures involved.

In his statement to Lokayukta, Prime Minister Siddaramaiah said he had no direct participation in the case of land compensation linked to his wife, Parvathi BM. “In 2014, my wife informed me about the development of mute. Since he was the prime minister, I did not say any instruction, ”he said. He also said that he did not know the letter from Plvathi to Muda in search of compensatory lands.

Siddaramaiah also acknowledged that in 2017, the president of Muda, Dhruv Kumar, informed him about the authority of the authority to grant Compensation to Parvathi under the 50:50 scheme. “Since he was the prime minister, I told him that I would not interfere in the decision to give compensatory land under scheme 50:50 to Parvathi Siddaramaiah,” he said. However, he said he did not remember if he had mentioned the 14 sites in his electoral sworn statements in 2018 or 2023.

The prime minister also admitted to having met Dineh Kumar, the official who signed the application in search of Katha (Land Registry) for the 14 sites. The ED probe had highlighted Kumar’s role in the transaction, and the previous reports had widely detailed these findings.

Meanwhile, the Special Court of Public Representatives heard the case on Monday, with the petitioner Snehamayi Krishna urging the presentation of the final report. The court ordered Krishna to present objections, if any, after reviewing the report. The special public prosecutor Venkatesh Arabatti confirmed that the report would be provided today. The next hearing has been scheduled for March 7, with Snehamayi Krishna to receive a copy of the final report.
