Deoria (Uttar Pradesh), February 24: In a shameful incident, a man was arrested for brutally defeating an elderly couple in the middle of the road in Deoria de Uttar Pradesh on Monday (February 24). His shameful act was captured by the camera and the video of the incident is making rounds on social networks. You can see in the video that the man is inhumanously hitting the old man with the woman with kicks and slapped in front of a crowd.

The people present in the place remained silent and did not intervene to prevent man from committing the evil act to hit people so old and helpless in the middle of the road.

Land dispute with neighbor

There are reports that the incident occurred on a land dispute among the neighbors. The couple was attacked in the Vishunpura Pratham area that falls under the limits of the Gauribazar Police Station. The video shows that the man is hitting the elderly man with kicks and blows while falling to the ground. A woman stands also stands while holding the old man’s hands when the defendant hits him.

The old woman is seen nearby, who then tries to intervene and prevent man from hitting the old man. The man then brutally slapped the old woman, because she falls to the ground. Then kill the woman repeatedly.

According to reports, victims have been identified as Ramgyani and his wife, Nimita Devi. The report also declared that Ramgyani had a real estate dispute with his neighbor that has been identified as Ashish Pandey.

Police action

Police recorded a complaint in relation to the matter and initiated an investigation into the matter. Police have registered a complaint against Ashish Pandey and another person in the matter. Pandey has been arrested and the police have initiated a search operation to catch the other defendant.

The police reacted to the viral video and said: “A case has been recorded in relation to the matter and the defendant has been arrested and the measures are being taken according to the rules.”
