Houston man arrested, accused in relation to the death of the 3 -month -old baby in October 2024

Houston, Texas (Ktrk) – A Houston man was arrested and accused in relation to a 3 -month -old baby death last year.

Jamal Royshun Porter, 28, who appeared in a probable cause court last week, was accused of injuries to a child.

According to the Houston Police Department, on October 25, 2024, the officers responded to 4078 Barberry Drive at approximately 9 pm after Porter and the baby’s mother called 911, saying that the baby did not respond.

The baby was pronounced later dead in the hospital.

Forensic records revealed that the child had a fracture of the skull, multiple rib fractures and other broken bones in several healing stages. The cause of the baby’s death was governed as a blunt force trauma.

Porter was accused of his role in the death of the baby and arrested on February 19.
