Easyjet passengers may have had their travel plans interrupted yesterday (February 24). This caused significant delays and lasted four hours.

Organized by ANPAC (Associazione Nazionale Professale Aviazione Civile) and RSA, and joined several other unions, took place in the maximum travel hours when several pilot unions in Italy came out, causing cancellations and delays on flights to and from the United Kingdom .

So what should you do if they hit you? Here is everything you need to know.

Why were there strikes?

Airline workers demand salary increases, citing inappropriate responses to their requests for contractual renewals.

I was affected by the strikes, what should I do?

The international aviation lawyer Anton Radchenko, head of Airadvisor, explained that pilot attacks can be particularly expensive for airlines, reports Daily record. He said: “Unlike the bad climatewhich is generally perceived by the courts as extraordinary circumstances, the attacks of the airline staff are considered within the control of an airline.

“This is because disagreements between airlines and unions can often be resolved improving the payment or personnel conditions.

“This could be the beginning of a turbulent year for airline attacks, with aviation staff and their unions in Europa by pressing better working conditions and improved advantages, such as pensions. Airline staff strikes tend to be more frequent in the summer months, when the industrial action of employees can have a greater impact on the operations of their employers.

“In August last year, Easyjet was forced to cancel around 200 flights to and from Portugal due to a three -day strike by cabin.

Anton said: “If you are going to fly with Easyjet or Aeroitalia next week and its flight is canceled less than two weeks in advance, it can be eligible for between £ 120 and £ 520 in compensation.”

Are there more planned strikes?

There are currently more airline attacks in Italy at the end of this week, with Palermo airport staff and luggage managers at Venice Marco Polo airport. They are scheduled for state strikes this Friday, February 28.
