The heartbreaking tragedy! The little boy in Florida finds Dad’s weapon in the car, accidentally shoots in the head; Family regrets

A 4 -year -old Florida boy, chosen Morris, accidentally fired in his head while playing with a gun that he found in his parents’ car, according to multiple reports attributed to the authorities. The boy was waiting for his family to go to dinner when he discovered the weapon loaded under the driver’s seat.

Davenport’s chief Steve Parker, visibly emotional during a press conference on Monday, described the heartbreaking incident.

“We believe that chosed was excited to leave that night and enter the car to wait for the rest of the family and in doing so he found the firearm under the seat and while playing with him discharged and caused his fatal injuries,” Parker said .

The child was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was declared dead the next afternoon.

Mother listened to a ‘pop’ before discovering the tragedy

The child’s mother, fifth, initially thought that the loud noise he heard was something that broke into the house. He checked with his two older children, an 11 -year -old daughter and a 7 -year -old son, but denied having caused the sound.

Then he started looking for the chosen and found it seriously injured in the front seat of the car parked in the garage.

“I can’t stress enough how tragic this is,” said Parker. “I met with the family today, they are devastated, they are devastated by what happened.”

Fifth, a nursing student, gave help immediately before the family took the child to the hospital.

Father forgot to remove the car weapon

The authorities say that the firearm, a Smith & Wesson M&P .40 caliber pistol, belonged to the child’s father, Robert, who used it for personal protection while traveling to work.

“When he got home on Thursday, he forgot about the weapon, and remained in the car on Friday because he had no job that day,” said the police.

The parents had planned to take chosen for pizza that night and buy a gift after dinner.

Police weigh criminal charges

Chief Parker declared that although he does not want to press charges against afflicted parents, he will consult the prosecutors before making a final decision.

“I can’t even imagine what is happening,” Parker said.
