KEMI Badenoch: Did BBC pay Hamas officials for the anti-Israel documentary?

An investigation must be opened to explore the possibilities that the British Broadcasting Corporation paid and colluded with Hamas officials to produce a Gaza documentaryThe conservative party leader said in a letter from Sunday the general director of the BBC, Tim Davie.

Badenoch’s letter, which occurred following the exhibition of researcher David Collier last Tuesday on Hamas’ connections to a BBC production, requested an independent investigation to examine the commission and development of the documentary “Gaza: how to survive to a war zone “.

Collier said the BBC had given £ 400,000 to produce the documentary, which follows four Palestinian young people living in a humanitarian area in Gaza.

According to the BBC website, the productions showed “everyday life with air attacks and ongoing efforts to keep people alive in their only permanent hospital in operation,” but Collier reported that the father of the program narrator, Abdullah Al-Yazouri, 13, was a senior Hamas official.

The father of another child appeared in the film was a Hamas police officer. Collier also said that the cameraman had praised terrorist attacks in Israel.

The conservative deputy Sala Braverman questioned Monday X on Monday how the state station could not make checks that resulted in publishing a “propaganda film for a terrorist organization that wants to erase the Jews of the earth.”

According to Badenoch, BBC had been defensive about the documentary, ensuring that it complied with the usual compliance procedures when producing the article and maintained the program available on its website. At the time of writing this article, the documentary has been eliminated from the IPLAYER BBC.

BBC protests

The campaign against anti -Semitism celebrated a protest on Tuesday outside the BBC London Broadcasting House to demand responses to whether the license rates had been used to pay Hamas or those affiliated with the proscribed terrorist organization.

Braverman requested an abolition of television licenses paid by the citizens of the United Kingdom, arguing that the rate “and weak responsibility mean that they can get yours.”

The Board of Deputies of the President of the British Jews, Phil Rosenberg, said Monday on social networks that he was worried about the approach that the BBC held towards Hamas and added his voice to the growing choir for independent investigation into culture and staff of the station.

Badenoch also said on Sunday that an investigation into the BBC would have to explore the “repeated and serious accusations of systemic and institutional bias against Israel in the coverage of the BBC war.”

This supposedly included a false equivalence between Israel and Hamas, the bias in the BBC Arabic and the interviews in which there were robust interrogations of Israeli representatives, while Palestinian officials were not found without challenge.
