Some notable professors at the University of Ibadan have warned academics and students against too much dependence on artificial technology and intelligence.

The Dons warned against excessive use of technology and AI, especially in academic writings.

Olayinka, while talking about the issue, “integrating the past with the present for the efficient administration of the university system,” he said that the problem of poor funds in federal universities will continue to persist if the government does not increase the assignment of budget to education .

Adegun, who is a professor in the Zoology department while talking about the subject “taking advantage of technology to transform postgraduate education in Nigeria” that academics and students should use technology and AI responsible.

“Technology and AI should be used with caution. Ai cannot do everything. Technology cannot do everything. But, before using technology, we must address the problem of power in Nigeria, ”he said.

Egbokhare while talking, he said that academics and students should not put too much burden on technology and AI.

“There is an excessive dependence problem in technology and AI. You have to use it in a way that does not put too much load for end users, ”he said.

Ajiboye, former registrar of the Nigeria Teacher Registry Council (TRCN) said that everything has changed as a result of technology.

He advised teachers and students to use technology and moderately.

“Then, we must also address the energy problem. Technology and AI have brought significant changes, but too much dependence is dangerous.

“Universities must focus on skills and competition. As we present our children to technology, some countries are reintroducing books.

“Bring our books because your children no longer read. It has its own negative side, we must do it with caution, ”he advised.
