A man has been accused of causing death for driving dangerously after a three -year -old girl was killed after an accident in Manchester City center.

The emergency services ran to Mosley Street around 10 am on Saturday (February 22) after a tram crashed with a truck. The truck set up the pavement and crashed with Louisa (Lulu) Palmisano, who sadly died from her wounds.

Rawal Rehman, 35, has been accused of causing death for driving dangerous and will appear in the Manchester magistrates on Wednesday (February 26).

In a statement, Greater Manchester He said: “Rawal Rehman (11/28/89) by Lambton Road, Manchester, has been accused of causing death by dangerous driving.

“It will appear today in the Court of Magistrates of Manchester, Wednesday, February 26, 2025.

“The position is related to a fatal collision in the center of Manchester City on Saturday, where a three -year -old girl died sadly.”

Lulu’s parents, who visited Manchester during the weekend, previously paid tribute to her, calling her the “harder, kind and generous girl.”

“He was full of creativity and joy, and he loved to go to the nursery every day,” they continued.

“Her absence has left a devastating vacuum in our family: she was our only child, our whole world.

“We were simply enjoying a happy family day in Manchester when he hit this unimaginable tragedy.

“In an instant, our lives became destroyed outside repair.

“The pain of losing it is unbearable, and we miss it more than words can express.”
