Luka Doncic publishes a triple double against the Dallas Mavericks, takes the Lakers to a 107-99 victory

Los Angeles (AP) -Luka Doncic had 19 points, 15 rebounds and 12 assists in their first game against the Dallas Mavericks since they exchanged it with the Lakers, which led Los Angeles to a 107-99 victory on Tuesday by the evening.

Doncic assured his first triple-double with the Lakers on an emotional night for the Slovenian superstar, who was neglected by the seismic trade that sent him to Los Angeles for Anthony Davis three weeks ago.

Doncic warmly greeted his former teammates, but also observed some portentous looks at the Bank of the Mavs during the night. He fought with his shot, going 6 of 17, but limited an excellent game performance with an assistance to LeBron James to get a tray with 32 seconds.

James helped his new teammate scoring 16 of his 27 points in the fourth quarter, while Los Angeles clung to his third consecutive victory and his 13th in 16 games.

Kyrie Irving scored 35 points and Klay Thompson added 22 for the Mavericks.

The general manager of Dallas, Nico Harrison, who is vilified by many MAV fans for making the exchange, was a serenade for the Lakers fans singing “Thank you, Nico!”

Mavericks: Max Christie scored the 10 points in the first half. He was changed along with Davis for the Lakers, who wrote it.

The Lekers: James was not willing to let Doncic lose on this emotional night.

Davis could not play due to an injury to the groin, but obtained the oldest of several standing ovations after the Lakers issued a long video tribute to the Star Big Man in the first quarter. Davis returned to the crowd with both arms.

Doncic’s triple-double was 81 of his career, seventh in the history of the NBA, and his room this season. The last one for Dallas was on December 15.
