A Grand Jury of Maricopa County has accused a 30 -year -old man in relation to a stabbed death that happened last month at a birthday party in Laveen, authorities said on Wednesday.

Hunter Strawbridge is being arrested with an cash bond of $ 1 million for the murder of Jake Carbonell, according to the Maricopa County Prosecutor’s office. The attack occurred in a house where Carbonell was organizing a child’s birthday party.

During the party, police said, Carbonell “was alerted that the defendant Strawbridge had threatened a female relative with a knife,” said a communication from McAO.

“Strawbridge continued his threatening behavior and was asked to leave the party. Once out of the house, there was a fight, and Strawbridge stabbed Carbonell on his neck. “

Two people who tried to intervene in the fight were also stabbed and suffered by serious but not fatal injuries. Carbonell was taken to a hospital, where he died.

Strawbridge has been accused of second degree murder, two positions of aggravated assault, disorderly behavior and physical evidence manipulation.

His trial is scheduled for June.
