The suspects accused of Andrew and Tristan Tate trafficking arrive in the United States

Fort Lauderdale, Florida – The influential brothers Andrew and Tristan Tate, accused of trafficking in Romania, arrived on Thursday in the United States after the authorities raised travel restrictions imposed as part of the case.

A spokesman for the brothers, Matea Petrescu, said the two landed at Fort Lauderdale, Florida, around noon.

The Tates, who are Dual Citizens of the United States and have millions of followers online, were arrested at the end of 2022 and formally accused last year for charges that participated in a criminal ring that attracted women to Romania, where they were sexually exploited. Andrew Tate was also accused of rape. Negan the accusations.

In December, a court ruled that the case could not go to trial due to multiple legal and procedural irregularities by prosecutors. However, the case remained open, and there is also other investigation against him in Romania.

The Romanian anti -changed crimes agency, DiCot, said in a statement on Thursday that prosecutors approved a request to change travel restrictions to the Tates, but did not say who made the request.

The brothers are still required to appear before the judicial authorities when they are convened.

“The defendants have been warned to deliberately violate these obligations can result in the judicial control being replaced by a stricter deprivation of the measure of freedom,” said the statement.

A court also failed on Thursday in favor of an appeal of the Tates to lift the seizure of multiple assets, according to the brothers spokesman, Matea Petrescu. Assets include six luxury vehicles, land and properties, and company shares. All previously frozen bank accounts have not been frozen, he said.

“While some assets remain under caution seizures, this failure marks a significant step towards justice,” he said.
Andrew Tate, 38, a former professional kickboxer and misogynist self -written that has accumulated more than 10 million followers in X, has repeatedly stated that prosecutors in Romania have no evidence against them and that there is a political conspiracy to silence it. He and Tristan Tate, 36, are vocal supporters of US President Donald Trump.

Only a few weeks ago, Andrew Tate published in X: “The Tates will be free, Trump is the president. The good old days have returned. And they will be better than ever. Wait.”

Tates’s departure occurred after Foreign Minister Emil Hurzeanu said this month that a Trump administration official expressed interest in the case of the brothers in the recent Munich Security Conference. The minister insisted that pressure was not applied to lifting restrictions on rates after a Financial Times report on the meeting caused a stir in Romania.

The decision of the Bucharest Court of Appeals that Tate’s case could not proceed was a great setback for Diicot, but did not mean that the defendants could walk freely, and the case has not been closed.

Last August, Diicot also launched a second case against the brothers, investigating the accusations of trafficking in persons, the trafficking of minors, sexual relations with a minor, influencing the statements and money laundering. They have denied those charges too.

After the Tate brothers were arrested in 2022, they were held for three months detained before being transferred to house arrest. Later they were restricted to the municipality of Bucharest and the near County of Ilfov, and then to Romania. Andrew Tate was returned to house arrest last year in the second case, but that measure was built last month.

The legal battles of the Tate brothers are not limited to Romania.

Four British women who accused Andrew tate of sexual violence and physical abuse demand it in the United Kingdom, after the Crown Prosecutor’s Office decided not to process it.

Women said Thursday in a joint statement that they are “in disbelief and feel re-traumatized” for the news that travel restrictions rose.

Matthew July, a lawyer from McCue Jury & Partners, who represents women, described the decision to raise the prohibition of traveling “unpleasant and consternant.”

In March, the Tate brothers appeared in the Bucharest Court of Appeals in a separate case after the United Kingdom authorities issued arrest orders for the accusations of sexual assault in a case dating from 2012-2015.

The Court of Appeals granted the United Kingdom application to extradite the Tates, but only after the legal procedures in Romania have concluded.

At the end of last year, a United Kingdom Court ruled that the police can take more than 2.6 million pounds ($ 3.3 million) to cover years of unpaid taxes of the couple and freeze some of their accounts. Andrew Tate called him “direct robbery” and said it was “a coordinated attack against anyone who dares to challenge the system.”
