Civil Minutes against Kecmanović postponed due to the suspension of lawyers’ work

In the Superior Court of Belgrade today, the civil procedures against the father, the mother and the child who killed nine classmates and a school guard in the primary school “Vladislav Ribnikar” on May 3, 2023, and according to the demand of the Dukić family, whose daughter was killed, was postponed until April 3.

The trial was postponed due to the suspension of lawyers’ work.

This procedure began against Miljana and Vladimir Kecmanović, his son, as well as against school and the State, and after a demand for members of the Dukić family, whose daughter was killed at that time.

The Court will decide this claim only after the end of civil procedures, and make a decision if you accept the family’s claim, or possibly reject it.

In addition to this, there are three other civil procedures. At the end of last year, the Superior Court issued a verdict of the first instance in criminal procedures, through which Vladimir Kecmanović was sentenced to 14 and a half years in prison, Miljana Kecmanović to three years in prison, and Nemanja Marinković, the instructor in the range of shooting where the minor practiced shots, up to 15 months in prison.

Vladimir and Miljana Kecmanović were convicted of the criminal crime of neglecting and abusing a child, while Vladimir Kecmanović was also convicted of the criminal crime of serious crime against public security.

In addition to the criminal case, a civil process was also completed against Kecmanović, after a lawsuit filed by 27 family members. Minor KK is criminally irresponsible because he was not 14 years old at the time of the massacre.
