Attorney General Chris Carr and District Prosecutor Bradfield Shealy say that the accusation is addressed to members of 528, a Valdosta gang accused of violent crimes in Georgia and Florida.

Prosecutors say that the group carried out almost 100 criminal acts, including murders, attempted murder and robbery by armed.

Among his alleged crimes: the shooting deaths of Jaylon Smith and the state student of Valdosta Brianna Long.

Long was working at the losing bar in October when the gunmen opened fire, killing her and hurting a co -worker.

The GBI launched a surveillance video of the night of the filming that shows the suspects walking through the Baytree Place purchasing square in Remeton.

I contacted the family from the news of the accusation, but the family says they are silent until the trial ends.

But just after the shooting in 2023, I spoke with Brianna Long’s aunt, Morgan Nicole Long. She shared photos of Brianna, working, full of life, capturing the moments she wants the world to remember.

Now, seven suspects, who are 20 to 36 years old, are accused under the rich law of Georgia. And they could follow more arrests.

Authorities say this is only the beginning of their repression against the violence of gangs in South Georgia.
