Eddie Irvine, the former F1 star, has led a vibrant life on and off the track.

The Irish of the North, 59, is better remembered for his four -year period with Ferrari, during which he associated with Michael Schumacher. His most memorable season was in 1999, when he achieved four victories of the Grand Prix and the driver’s title was lost.

Irvine waves for the first time in the world of F1 with Jordan at the end of 1993, when he dissipated in the Japanese Grand Prix, for the discomfort of the legendary Senna of Ayrton. This led to a heated confrontation after the race in which the Brazilian Iracial hit Irvine.

Before retiring in 2002, Irvine also ran through Jaguar. However, his high -speed lifestyle did not end there, since he went on to establish a successful real estate business and dated some of the most famous women in the world.

Go out with Pamela Anderson

One of the notable women linked to Irvine is the star of Baywatch, Pamela Anderson. The rumors of their relationship appeared in the mid -2000s when they were seen together in a little baseball game with the children of Anderson.

Although his romance did not last, they have maintained a close friendship over the years, even being seen together in the Amber Lounge fashion parade during the 2017 Monaco Grand Prix. Irvine, who shares a daughter with Maria Drummond, has also been romantically associated with Liz Hurley, Kylie Minogue, Kate Moss and the Manuela Arcuri model.

Michael Schumacher relationship

Schumacher dominated his teammates, including Irvine, during his main career of F1 in Benetton and Ferrari. However, when the German broke his leg at the 1999 British Grand Prix, Irvine received his only chance for the title, just to fall short when Mike Hakkinen from McLaren took a second consecutive crown.

After the 1999 season, Irvine moved from Ferrari to Jaguar, creating space for Rubens Barrichello. Reflecting on his departure and the arrival of Barrichello, Irvine told The Independent: “God helps Rubens. It will be a different story for me next season, but at least I will not face Michael Schumacher in the same car in each race. Appearing Michael is like getting to each race and being hit in the head with a Crick Bat for four days.”

While they generally maintain a cordial relationship, Irvine and Schumacher experienced their shade. A notable tension occurred before the 1999 Monaco Grand Prix after the strong start of Irvine in that season.

Schumacher revealed: “We had a discussion, but we are human beings. Sometimes we disagree and we had a disagreement. But we are human beings and we are adult enough to clarify those things very quickly. There are no more problems, so there is no more situation.”

Richness of profits and properties of F1

Before his F1 career, Irvine was already financially safe due to some smart investments. His substantial Ferrari salary allowed him to grow his property portfolio, presumably compensate for being frequently overcome by Schumacher.

During his time with the most estimated F1 team, Irvine, according to reports, won almost 60 million. He also received a handsome salary during his period of three years less successful with Jaguar from 2000 to 2002.

Irvine’s wealth continued to rise after F1, thanks to intelligent investments at home and abroad. In 2006, the Sunday Times estimated its net assets to £ 160 million, classifying it as the fifth most rich in Northern Ireland at that time. Speaking to Property Week in 2018, Irvine said: “Ireland of the North is still cheap. The recession has lasted a long time there. It is starting to resume now, we are finally increasing our prices.”

Irvine has also benefited generous from the luxury real estate market in Miami, where he builds high -end houses for celebrities and rich. He once said: “What happened has been incredible. But then Miami is incredible. The houses I build in Miami, I build them as if I lived in them.”

Matt Damon becomes a tenant

Matt Damon, the Hollywood actor, became a tenant of Irvine’s luxurious mansion in Dalkey, near Dublin. The property was rented by Damon and her family during the initial blockade of COVID-19 in 2020 when the production of the movie The Last Duel was arrested.

It is reported that Damon disbursed almost 1,000 per night to reside in the property, which Irvine sold for approximately 3 million in 2021. However, Irvine did not run out of roof on her head, since she has several properties in Europe and the United States.
