The dollar remains weak against the main counterparts

Washington (DPA -Afx) – The dollar moved on Tuesday, extending losses of the previous session, amid the concerns about the economic impact of the commercial war after the imposition of tariffs by the United States in Canada, Mexico and China, and the reprisal measures of China and Canada.

Trump announced that his administration will impose tariffs on agricultural products imported to the United States from April 2.

The dollar index fell to 105.53, losing almost 1.2%.

Against the euro, the dollar weakened 1,0627. The dollar weakened 1,2795 against the sterling pound.

The dollar fell against the Japanese currency, falling to 149.82 yen per unit. Against the Australian, the dollar decreased to 0.6271.

The Swiss Franco won against the dollar, and referred to Chf 0.8895 a unit of the US currency. The Loonie strengthened 1,4394 against the dollar.
