Liam Payne’s watch reportedly went missing after a woman he spent time with before his death “went back to his room” to retrieve her make-up, it was claimed today.

Police investigating the 31-year-old’s death have been searching for a Rolex watch worth £30,000 which was reported missing from the singer’s hotel room.

Liam was said to have been seen wearing the Rolex in CCTV footage and other photographs added to the prosecution’s case files shortly before he died at around 5pm local time on October 16.

Respected Argentine news website Infobae says the women in question mentioned that they had forgotten their cosmetics in the singer’s third-floor suite.

Citing sources close to the ongoing criminal investigation into Liam’s death on November 16, she said he walked her in the elevator back to the room, adding: “That’s where Payne’s Rolex watch went missing.”

The women at the center of the investigation, identified locally as Lucila Marianela Goitea, 27, and Aldana Milagros Serrano, 31, are being treated by prosecutors as witnesses and not suspects.

But Infobae reported today that they hired a lawyer whom they named as Martín Castillo, although they do not need legal representation as witnesses.

The lawyer is said to have already requested copies of the case files.

Both women were questioned by prosecutors after Liam’s fatal fall from the balcony of his third-floor bedroom on October 16 and reportedly handed over their mobile phones voluntarily, although the data stored on them is believed to have not yet been released. have not been extracted or analyzed.

Argentine police reportedly carried out a series of raids on a number of residences, including an apartment allegedly used by one of the women, and failed to find any trace of the missing luxury watch.
