Teenager seriously injured after skid steer accident

LINN COUNTY, Iowa (KCRG) – A 15-year-old boy has life-threatening injuries after an accident involving a skid steer loader in Linn County.

Crews from the Linn County Sheriff’s Office, Linn County Rescue, Marion Fire, Area Ambulance and LifeGuard Air Ambulance responded to 1777 Martin Creek Road at 5:26 p.m. Monday.

Sheriff’s deputies say a man was moving a bale of hay when the child became trapped between the loader and the bale of hay.

The child was transported by ambulance for what the Sheriff’s Office said could be life-threatening injuries.

The Sheriff’s Office says the crash remains under investigation.
