A Texas mother said she and her young family were trapped in their home after a pack of stray pit bulls took over their neighborhood.

Janelle Hobbs said she “can’t even walk out my front door” because a group of four aggressive canines ambush her every time she leaves her Harris County home.

She said she was forced to go in and out of her garage to avoid the pit bulls, and even had to keep her 20-month-old daughter Ramona inside.

“She’s my life, she’s my everything,” Hobbs told ABC13. ‘I would like to take my daughter in a stroller, take her outside and I won’t even do that. It’s terrifying.’

Surveillance footage captured the moment Hobbs was nearly attacked by the dogs, something she said happens every time she opens the front door.

“If someone comes to my door, (the dogs) are on it,” he added.

She said she was frustrated by the lack of action from local officials and has been warning locals to avoid her home.

ABC13 reported that moments before their interview, they saw Hobbs warn two women across the street: “You have to leave, those dogs are aggressive and they will attack.”

In the footage Hobbs shared of the pit bulls ambushing her, she was seen running toward the front door before the dogs could reach her.

In another clip, she was seen rushing a neighbor’s dog onto her property, fearing the pit bulls might attack.

Although Hobbs was able to flee the dogs before they reached her, the mother also shared images of a delivery driver who was not so lucky.

Moments after arriving at Hobbs’ door, the delivery driver was attacked by two pit bulls and one of the dogs bit his hand.

Hobbs later said the dogs attack “if someone comes to my door.”

Hobbs said he believes the four pit bulls have taken over a vacant unit in front of his home and are ambushing anyone who tries to enter the front door.

She said locals believe the four dogs took over an empty unit in front of her and climbed out through a broken window.

A Harris County Animal Control spokesperson told ABC13 they have received several calls about stray dogs in the Pine Village North neighborhood of Hobbs.

The agency said it confiscated a dog a week earlier, but it was the only one they could find.

Hobbs said she was frustrated that officials did not take the four dogs.

“I hope someone comes looking for them,” he concluded.
