Jaishankar hits Rahul Gandhi for his Trump invitation invitation comment; ‘Common knowledge PM does not attend such events’

S Jaishankar has responded to Rahul Gandhi after An invitation for the Prime Minister. Narendra Modi for the inauguration of Donald Trump.

When taking his official X account, Jaishankar said he went to meet with the Secretary of State and the NSA of the Biden Administration.

Slamamando Gandhi, Jaishankar said it was “common knowledge” that the prime minister does not attend such events.

“The opposition leader Rahul Gandhi deliberately spoke a falsehood about my visit to the United States in December 2024. I went to meet with the Secretary of State and the NSA of the Biden Administration. Also to preside over a meeting of our general consuls. During my stay, the incoming designate of the NSA met with me, “he wrote in a publication.

“At no stage was an invitation regarding the discussed prime minister. It is common knowledge that our prime minister does not attend such events. In fact, India is generally represented by special envoys. Nation abroad,” Jaishankar added.

Gandhi said that if the center had taken the economic policies seriously, he would not have to send the Minister of Foreign Affairs, S JAISHANKAR to the United States to obtain an invitation for the prime minister to be the inauguration of Donald Trump.

Kiren Rijiju returns

The Minister of Parliamentary Affairs, Kiren Rijiju, responded to Gandhi for her “harmless claims” on government foreign policy.

“You can’t make statements without foundation,” he said.

“The opposition leader cannot make such a serious substantial statement. This is related to the relationship between two countries and is making a statement not verified about the invitation of the Prime Minister of our country,” said Rijiju.

To this Gandhi replied: “I apologize for disturbing your tranquility …”
