Seriously injured after a dog attack in West Wichita

Wichita, Kan. (KWCH) -A 40-year-old woman was taken to the hospital in an extremely critical state after being attacked by her own dog in West Wichita, according to Wichita police.

The Sedgwick County Office said a call arrived shortly after 4 pm for a dog bite report in the 2900 block of West Murdock.

When EMS arrived, they found a 40 -year -old woman with extremely critical wounds.

Wichita police said that animal control was called to the scene and that the investigation is ongoing.
