ASP taking energetic measures against the suspects fleeing

North Little Rock, Ark. (Kait) – The Arkansas State Police held a press conference today addressing drivers fleeing the police.

According to ASP’s press release, director Coronel Mike Hagar and 25 prosecutors of Arkansas announced an alarming increase in vehicle activities.

In 2024, ASP was involved in 553 activities compared to 291 activities in 2016.

ASP and state prosecutors said that people trying to evade the police will be processed in the maximum extension of the law.

“We will do what is safer for the public,” said Colonel Agar. “That is why we have instructed ASP soldiers as soon as they have articulated that the suspects flee, to put them into the trench.”
