LeBron James shows true colors with a message to Kyrie Irving after a terrifying injury | NBA | Sport

The NBA icon, LeBron James, has extended his good wishes to Kyrie Irving after the alarming injury in the guard’s knee. Irving was forced to get out of the court during the first quarter of Monday against the Sacramento Kings after his left knee seemed to farter while preparing to shoot.

Despite the injury, he managed to make both free throws before being assisted to the locker room. James, the former Irving teammate, turned to social networks to offer his support.

In X, James published: “Prayers sent to Ky” accompanied by several emojis. After having played together in the Cleveland Cavaliers from 2014 to 2017, James and Irving formed a strong link, making three consecutive appearances in the NBA finals and ensuring the historic NBA 2016 championship, the first of Cleveland.

James was not the only one to express online concern; Luca Doncic, another former teammate, shared a story about InstagramWriting: “Kyrie stayed to shoot two free throws after an injury” along with a prayer emoji. Doncic and Irving developed a close link during their almost two seasons as rear track partners in Dallas.

Irving has been having a remarkable season with the Mavericks, averaging 25 points, 4.9 rebounds and 4.7 assists in 49 games, including 35 points in a recent defeat against James’s Lakers. The injuries to the Dallas Mavericks continue to increase since they are already losing their new acquisition Davis, who left their debut on February 8 with a groin problem.

His bad luck did not stop there when the reserve guard Jaden Hardy suffered a right ankle sprain in the third period, leaving the team with only nine players at the end of the game. Reflecting on the situation and the recent Irving injury during defeat 122-98 against the Kings, the chief coach of the Mavericks, Jason Kidd, commented: “Simply unfortunate, I hope it is healthy and not serious. The injuries we have had this season, the boys are trying to retain other return bodies.

“And it seems that every time we get to recover someone, someone falls. We are running out of bodies here, but the boys keep fighting.”

The Mavericks will face the Milwaukee Bucks in their next match on Wednesday night, while James and Los Angeles Lakers will face the New Orleans’ pelicans on Tuesday.
