Winchester father and son charged with child pornography

A former Winchester doctor and his father face charges of child abuse, possession of child pornography and using a camera hidden in an electrical outlet to record a man in the shower, authorities said.

Bradford D. Ferrick, 33, and his father, David B. Ferrick, 67, were charged in September by a grand jury after an investigation by Winchester police and state police assigned to Attorney General Andrea Campbell’s office, authorities said.

The men pleaded not guilty in Middlesex Superior Court to a total of 23 charges, including destruction of evidence. The elder Ferrick, who is also accused of incest, is free Bail of $85,000, records show.

According to prosecutors, the father and son sold videos of themselves performing sexual acts on the website Onlyfans, earning around $30,000 for videos marketed as “real” incest.

Bradford Ferrick also faces prosecution in U.S. District Court in Boston on child pornography charges, records show. He has pleaded not guilty and is being held in federal custody awaiting trial, records show.

Then, Authorities searched an apartment Ferrick rented in Amherst and confiscated hidden camera devices. including one designed to be worn as a bracelet, according to an FBI affidavit. The bracelet contained a memory card that contained two videos of children recorded during medical exams, according to the affidavit.

Winchester police began investigating the Ferricks last year. During a search of the Winchester home where Ferrick and her parents live, authorities recovered thousands of sexually explicit images and videos, some of which depict victims as young as 6, according to court documents.

Authorities also found recordings from a camera hidden inside an electrical outlet that captured images of a man showering, according to court records. David Ferrick and his son exchanged messages about the images and tried to improve their quality by using water repellent on the camera, prosecutors allege.

Bradford Ferrick was first arrested in 2023 and after his arraignment in Woburn District Court he allegedly returned home and remotely accessed his iPhone that police had seized, prosecutors said in court documents. “When he did so, he remotely wiped all data on the device,” prosecutors said.

Bradford Ferrick is a 2022 graduate of the State University of New York Upstate Medical University in Syracuse and in July 2022 began a medical residency focused on family medicine at Baystate Franklin Family Medicine, including rotations at facilities in Greenfield, Deerfield and Springfield.

He was fired from Baystate Health last year and is no longer licensed to practice medicine in Massachusetts, according to the Massachusetts State Medical Board.

Bradford Ferrick is also accused in Franklin Superior Court of secretly recording a patient receiving an examination of his genitals in 2022 while working as a doctor at Baystate Medical Center in Greenfield, records show. An arraignment is pending.
