Brothers Care and Beautiful Heartbeats Host Staten Island ‘Trunk or Treat’ Event for Over 500 Kids

STATEN ISLAND, NY — Brothers Care Inc. and Beautiful Heartbeats joined forces to host an exceptional Halloween Trunk or Treat event, where children enjoyed climbing the NYPD rock wall, pony rides from NJ & NY Horses & Ponies Inc. and the Dancing Robot provided by Sean White, owner of the Against Da Grain barbershop.

“We had fresh cotton candy, meaning bags of candy handed out by the volunteers with the decorated trunks, pizza, juice, bagels and music from DJ TLS. The kids danced and partied with the Dancing Robot and challenged themselves by trying to climb to the top of the NYPD rock wall. The horses and ponies stole the show as the children experienced riding ponies and horses for the first time. And overall, this was a safe and successful event. Thank you to all of our volunteers and sponsors for your help and support,” said Frank Sullivan, president of Brother’s Care,” he added.

“Special thanks to Assembly Members Charles Fall, Senator Jessica Scarcella Spanton, the UAU Beacon Center, the Teddy Atlas Foundation, Poppyseed Bagel & Catering, Verdes Pizza and our Fes Taylor camera/videographer. The children had a safe and enjoyable time,” said Shaquana Perry, president of Beautiful Heartbeats.

“The smiles on the children’s faces lit up the event,” Sullivan continued. “This is an annual event that we organize and each year it gets bigger and bigger. “Our motto is ‘Unity in the Community’ and that is what we strive for.”
