After being boxed in by Florida Highway Patrol officers, Germain accelerated the Mustang in reverse, crashing into a police officer’s vehicle before exiting the car and fleeing on foot.

Two officers pursued Germain and caught up with him on foot before arresting him and taking him into custody at a nearby KFC.

According to authorities, the vehicle was listed as Sixth Car Rental, stolen on October 13, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office database.

Officers then searched the vehicle and recovered 14 grams of methamphetamine and five grams of crack cocaine.

Agents also discovered that Germain was on probation, with conditions that included not driving or using alcohol or illegal substances.

Germain was transported to the Palm Beach County Jail on Thursday, where he awaits sentencing.
