After a 21-17 loss to the Ohio State Buckeyes on Saturday, Nebraska quarterback Dylan Raiola said fans disrespected football after throwing bottles onto the Ohio Stadium field, according to ON3. Thomas Goldkamp.

“The bottles that are thrown are, I don’t know, a kind of lack of respect for football and its nature,” Raiola said after the game, according to Goldkamp. “It happened and we had to get away from it, but no, it was too loud. It was a cool environment. But we knew it when we arrived.”

Ohio State head coach Ryan Day became enraged over a goal call and had to be physically restrained by a staff member. Shortly after, fans began filling the field with bottles.

The rookie quarterback threw an interception late in the game while trailing by four points with just over a minute left in the fourth quarter, sealing the victory for the Buckeyes.

Railoa finished Saturday’s game 21-for-32 passing, 152 yards, one interception and one fumble.

The Cornhuskers will look to bounce back next Saturday against the UCLA Bruins (2-5) at home.
