Cyberabad police raid farm owned by KTR’s brother-in-law for alleged rave party, arrest one for cocaine abuse

HYDERABAD Cyberabad Special Operations Team (SOT) raided a farmhouse in Janwada for an alleged rave party, which was being held on the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday in a joint operation with Excise officials and Narsingi police and arrested to a person for cocaine abuse.

The farm is owned by businessman Raj Pakala, brother-in-law of BRS working president KT Rama Rao. A case was registered against him under section 34 A, 34 (1) r/w 9 of the Excise Act for failing to obtain a license to serve alcohol.

According to police, at least 31 people attended the party, including 21 men and 14 women. Police carried out searches based on a tip-off and allegedly found excess foreign liquor worth 10.5 litres, which was stored beyond the permitted limit.

In addition, 10 bottles of Indian liquor were also found. Police officers later subjected attendees to drug tests.

Among them, a person named Vijay Madduri was taken to the hospital for a blood test and tested positive for cocaine. A case under section 27 of the NDPS Act was registered against him at the Mokila police station.

Reacting to the incident, Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay demanded immediate arrest of the accused along with seizure of passports of all high-profile persons involved. He also suggested that his location should be secured and CCTV footage of the incident should be released.

Alleging that the Congress government only pretends to enforce the law but is actually protecting the BRS bigwigs,

The BJP MP commented that the Janwada farm incident is just the tip of the iceberg.

“It is becoming obvious that Congress and BRS are playing a game of ‘give and take’, protecting each other’s interests. Speculation is rife that #TwitterTillu’s family members were allegedly present, but Congress is putting pressure on the police to protect them instead of holding them accountable. # The TwitterTillu (KTR) family seems to operate in a “drug-free zone”, apart from law enforcement Telangana is tired of these half-measures by the Congress government and. needs real action against substance abuse,” Sanjay said in a post on X.
