Evansville City Council votes unanimously to adopt next year’s budget

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) – The Evansville City Council voted unanimously to adopt the city’s 2025 budget.

Mayor Stephanie Terry shared highlights from Monday night’s meeting on social media, including that city employees will receive a three percent raise for the first time in more than a decade.

Terry also mentioned $24 million in bonds to improve the city’s parks and recreational spaces.

Earlier this month, Terry says the council approved a redevelopment bond for a new fire station.

According to the mayor, the complete budget will be on the city of Evansville website later this week for the public to view.
