Police Search for Triple Homicide Suspect, Say He’s Armed and Dangerous

Authorities are searching for a man they say is armed, dangerous and on the run.

Virgil Thew, 47, is a person of interest in connection with a triple homicide in New Lisbon. Police say three people were found dead inside a home.

Police say if you see Thew, do not approach him and call 911 immediately.

According to a news release from the New Lisbon Police Department, on December 29, the Juneau County Sheriff’s Office was alerted of a missing juvenile, who had been picked up by Thew. Investigators say Thew lives in New Lisbon.

The next day, the New Lisbon Police Department also began investigating where the missing child might be. Later, on the 30th, agents learned of the disappearance of a second minor from New Lisbon.

Several other police agencies joined the search and the parents of the two missing young men joined the investigation.

At approximately 4:29, two juveniles and one adult were found dead inside a home on West Bridge Street in New Lisbon. Thew has been named a person of interest in the case.

He is described as a man standing 5’10” tall and weighing about 150 pounds. He was last seen wearing a dark-colored coat, blue jeans, and a hat.
