Boy hit by vehicle in North York seriously injured: EMS

A boy was seriously injured after being hit by a vehicle in North York on New Year’s Eve, paramedics say.

Police were called to the intersection of Victoria Park and Sloane avenues, near Lawrence Avenue East on the Scarborough border, just before 10.45pm for reports of a pedestrian hit.

Toronto Paramedic Services told CP24 the child who was hit by the vehicle was transported to hospital in serious but non-life-threatening condition. The child’s age is unknown.

Road closures were in effect, but have since been lifted.
