MPD investigates hit-and-run accident with serious injuries

A woman was seriously injured after being hit by a vehicle overnight, Minneapolis police said.

Officers responded to the crash just before 2 a.m. at the intersection of 4th Avenue NE and University Avenue NE.

Police say the woman was walking in the area when she was hit by a vehicle, which then fled. The woman was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

No arrests have been made.
