Paulina Porizkova says she learned to hug her wrinkles after being “terrified” of them

Paulina Porizkova continues to argue the aging.

The Swedish Supermodel, 59, appeared the episode of Friday, January 31 of the Today show and opened on his perception of aging. She told Anchor Savannah Guthrie That he cannot wait for his 60th birthday on April 9, saying: “He has never moved me a birthday in my life.”

She explained: “I have paid my quotas. I raised my children, I have had a family, I have been the wife, I have done everything that society expected of me and do you know what? It is my turn. ”

Guthrie, 53, continued saying that Porizkova has a new perspective on aging compared to past years.

“I feel we are so afraid of wrinkles,” Porizkova replied. “Have you noticed that? We are so terrified by wrinkles because I suppose wrinkles make us With us for so long. ”

“And I keep looking at the wrinkles – mine, yours, any woman I see, and I think: ‘It is your map of life. I see how you are as a person. Why would you want to erase it? “She asked.” Why do we wrinkle in the same torque as acne? ”

He pointed out that acne and wrinkles are the two most common concerns for which people go to a dermatologist. “Acne is a disease, and wrinkles are the signs of privilege that you are alive,” he said.

Guthrie added: “They are bad badges!” And Porizkova replied: “Why eliminate them? Why not hug them? And I understand why, because society tells us that they don’t love us once we wrinkle. ”

His comments follow the announcement of Thursday, January 30, which has been associated with Estée Lauder as an ambassador of the global brand to advocate against ageism. “I am so excited that Estée Lauder has discovered this same beauty that I still see in me,” Guthrie told Guthrie about the brand’s defense initiative.

Porizkova, who was a 1988-1995 spokesman, said: “Almost 40 years later, and again I am collecting the work of Mantle Two with Estée Lauder.”

“The first time, I felt it was a job. I was working for Estée Lauter and it was a job for me and now, it’s a vocation, “he said.
