Goldsboro Man arrested for shots that left one seriously injured

Goldsboro, NC (Witn) – Goldsboro Police says that a man was arrested for a shooting that left another man seriously injured last night.

The officers were called to a Shotspotter alert around 10:12 pm in the 600 block of Madison Avenue.

Police say they found that Kevin Posey, 38, had shot.

Posey was taken to Wayne UNC Health Care, and then transferred to the ECU Health Medical Center, where he is in serious condition, according to the police.

Police say that Zajinque Dickens, 24, was arrested around 1:45 pm this afternoon.

Dickens faces the following positions:

  • Attempted murder
  • Carrying a hidden weapon
  • Download a firearm in an busy building

Goldsboro’s man was taken to Wayne County prison without bail.

Police say Posey remains hospitalized and is in stable condition.
